ms Amaverde

On 5th. July I embarked on the Amaverde where I caught up with Charles and Valerie who had just arrived from Rome. That afternoon we visited the Budapest Market. The ship sailed the following evening for our first port of call, Bratislavia, Slovakia.

My well-appointed cabin

Large (for a ship) en-suite. I loved the rain shower

The main lounge - looking forward

Looking aft, towards the bar

The restaurant

We preferred this table at the entrance to the restaurant. Although there was a 'no reservations' policy in the restaurant, we managed to have this table held for us for dinner for the whole cruise.

The pool and spa, abaft the wheelhouse

Captain 'George' from Romania

Uwe, our very competent and friendly cruise director, from Germany

One of the cheerful and helpful pursers

Zlati from Bulgaria - one of the ever-obliging bar staff
