On the bridge.

Ever the gracious host, Captain Dino Sagani, a friend of mine from several previous cruises (and whom I've previously performed magnetic compass adjustments), very kindly allowed me to invite some friends to the bridge for a private visit. (L-R) a cameraman filming an episode for ITV's UK documentary series 'The Cruise', Captain Sagani, Phil Garvin, Don Heathcote, Elizabeth Heathcote and Julianne Garvin. |

The 'Sea Walk' protruding from the top deck is approximately amidships, hence there is another 165 metres of ship behind it. |

The ship's helm. |
As this was the ship's first foray into the Southern Hemisphere, the Captain asked me to perform a magnetic compass adjustment which I was happy to perform between Brisbane and Sydney.

After the adjustment, Captain Sagani presented me with a plaque of the ship's crest - a most appreciated gift. |
