Suffering the deprivations and vicissitudes of shipboard life with fortitude and courage in the adults only Sanctuary area.

Something I hadn't seen before on a cruise ship because it's rarely feasible. Because nearly all the passengers were ashore, all the crew who were on their breaks were invited onto the passenger pool deck to partake in hamburgers, hotdogs and soft drinks for lunch and to enjoy some time relaxing outside and in the pool with their friends in the lovely warm weather. The deck was filled with happy chatter which I found delightful. Well done to the Captain, Hotel General Manager, Maitre d' and others who made this opportunity possible for the wonderful people who worked so hard yet so cheerfully to give us a great time.

With wonderful Bar Supervisor Grace and Barman Rhob.

A delicious Indian lunch at one of the poolside bars. With lovely Honey from the bar staff.
Another magnificent lunch that the Maitre d’ hosted for me, with the HR Manager and Assistant Maitre d’. Tempura prawns followed by Penne Arabiata and the the tenderest (and biggest!) veal schnitzel I’ve ever had. All cooked a la minute. Even I couldn’t finish the schnitzel! Just marvellous.

With my fabulous waiters, Sommeil and Efren.

With Efren and the wonderful host, wonderful host, Maitre d' Michael Boonzaaier.
