Majestic Princess - March April 2019 - Post 6

Phu My, Vietnam, 9th. April
There's always lots of shipping on the Saigon River.

Sunset on the river.
 Kaohsiung, Taiwan, 12th. April
This is a massive port. It and the city are unrecognisable to me from when I used to call here in 1980/81 as Third Mate aboard the container / RoRo ship Australian Exporter.

This port used to have a large shipbreaking industry but today provides ship repairs as well as its massive cargo throughput.

The old port entrance - still used by smaller ships.

Motor scooters everywhere, of course.

Evening sailing for Hong Kong
Sailaway party on new friends Jill and Mike's balcony.

South China Sea, en-route Hong Kong, 14th. April

I was pleased to perform a magnetic compass adjustment for the ship. On the compass platform, (L-R) the Deck Cadet, First Officer and Third Mate.

 Hong Kong, 14th. April
The Chinese cruise ship, Genting's World Dream arriving just after us.

My chariot awaits for my flight home via Singapore.
The end of another great couple of cruises.
